What Is the Adex Ocean Series and Why It Matters

The Adex Ocean Series is a collection of glazed ceramic wall tiles crafted to mimic the soft shimmer of water. Each tile features a micro crackle glaze, a fine web of texture layered beneath a glossy surface. This detail allows the tile to catch light differently throughout the day, adding quiet dimension rather than bold pattern.

Available colors include:

• Whitecaps
• Sand Dollar
• Surf Gray
• Top Sail

These coastal-inspired tones are refined, neutral, and designed to complement both contemporary and traditional Cleveland homes. What sets the series apart is its balance of artistry and everyday performance.

Key advantages include:

• Subtle visual texture that adds richness without overwhelming a room
• Versatile colorways that pair beautifully with natural stone, quartz, and porcelain countertops
• Designer trim options including liners and decorative shapes that elevate custom installations
• A luminous finish that enhances natural and artificial lighting

When viewed in person at Design Surfaces, you can experience how each color shifts under different lighting conditions and how it harmonizes with your cabinetry and stone selections.

Where the Adex Ocean Series Performs Best

Kitchen Backsplashes

Whitecaps and Surf Gray brighten the room and reflect light across stone countertops, creating a clean and inviting backdrop for everyday cooking and entertaining.

Bathrooms and Showers

Top Sail and Sand Dollar bring a spa-inspired calm to showers and vanity walls. The glossy finish adds an airy, water-like quality that feels fresh and serene.

Laundry Rooms and Mudrooms

Durable and easy to clean, Ocean Series tiles elevate hardworking areas without requiring high maintenance.

Accent and Feature Walls

A full-height installation of Surf Gray or Top Sail creates a statement wall with depth and elegance, perfect for entryways, bar areas, or reading nooks.

Why Designers Across Cleveland Choose the Ocean Series

Interior designers throughout the region prefer the Adex Ocean Series because it works across design styles and coordinates effortlessly with premium countertops. The glaze offers just enough character to add personality, yet the soft color palette makes it easy to blend into larger design schemes.

Top reasons designers love Ocean:

• It introduces texture without creating visual clutter
• It enhances modern, classic, and transitional spaces
• It pairs beautifully with marble-look quartz and natural stone slabs
• It adds light and dimension to rooms that need brightness

This versatility is especially beneficial in Northeast Ohio homes, where natural light varies significantly throughout the year.

Choosing the Right Color for Your Home

Each shade in the Ocean Series brings a distinct mood:

• Whitecaps: Bright, clean, and perfect for compact or low-light rooms
• Sand Dollar: Warm and inviting, ideal for traditional kitchens and cozy bathrooms
• Surf Gray: A balanced neutral that blends beautifully with gold, nickel, and matte black finishes
• Top Sail: A rich option for dramatic accents or bold, elegant walls

At Design Surfaces, we encourage clients to bring paint chips, cabinet samples, and countertop preferences to the showroom so colors can be compared side by side under realistic lighting.

Installation and Care Tips for Long-Lasting Beauty

To maintain the refined look of the Adex Ocean Series, follow these best practices:

• Choose a neutral grout to highlight the glossy surface
• Seal grout lines regularly to prevent moisture absorption
• Use mild soap and water for cleaning to protect the finish
• Avoid abrasive tools or harsh chemical cleaners
• Inspect grout annually and reseal when necessary for bathroom and shower installations

With proper care, these tiles retain their luminous finish for many years.
